Free website traffic

Here are few techniques to get free traffic to your websites. Some are effective but some are not.

1. Comments on other people's blog. This is free and effective but please don't spam on other people's blogs.
2. Post to many classifieds portal (you must post to many of them to get traffic)
3. Signature in your e-mail message you send
4. Send advertisement in groups (yahoo/google) you join that allow you to advertise your website
5. Send articles to article directory (sometimes your article is not publishes unless you are paid members)
6. Do link exchange with other websites. This is a tedious job if you do it manually. You can use some programs to make your life easier
